Based in B+H’s head office (Toronto), the Creative & Graphic Design Manger position is a global role that oversees the firm’s overall graphic design production and quality standards.  This contract will last for 15 months, beginning in November.

As part of the global Marketing and Business Development team, the Creative & Graphic Design Manger is responsible for supervising the Creative & Graphic Design team in the creation of integrated marketing communications material, while ensuring compliance with the B+H brand identity.

 

Applicant must have equal strength in both print and digital design mediums.

 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

This position, along with the Creative & Graphic Design team, is responsible for graphic design projects across a variety of mediums: marketing collateral, identity design (including B+H brand touch points as well as branding place & lifestyle for custom projects), print, video, and social media.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervision of the global Creative & Graphic Design Team
  • Efficient management and execution of day-to-day design projects including (but not limited to):
    • Marketing and business development printed communications (proposals, brochures, pamphlets)
    • Presentations (PowerPoint)
    • E-mail announcements
    • Sponsorship ads
    • Business card layouts and updates, stationary, etc.
      • Hoarding signage
      • Preparation of monthly status reports for graphic design deliverables

Additional Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and prepping images for blogs / news sections on sites
  • Supports the graphic design requirements of other functional groups, which may include: creation of reports, catalogues, recruiting materials, invitations, signage for special events, all sales materials, as well as other printed materials.
  • Provides vendor with direction on colour correction. Reviews press proofs
  • Executes pre-press file preparation and production, including proofing work at all stages.
  • Attends marketing meetings as needed

 Experience

  • Three-or four-year diploma or degree in graphic design
  • At least seven to ten years’ experience in a design firm or agency
  • At least three to five years’ experience in a managerial position
  • Must have experience in the Planning, Architecture or Interior Design industry
  • Mac and PC literacy
  • Must have advanced proficiency in creating design layouts with Adobe InDesign (latest version)

As the senior Finance leader, this position leads the development and implementation of financial policies and processes that enable the organization to effectively measure and monitor the key drivers of growth and profitability at the project, division and global level.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • Direct and coordinate the accounting, budgeting and overall financial operations including administrative and technical supervision of Finance team.
  • Manage consolidated reporting of working capital, capital expenditure, expense reporting, and other items with specific emphasis on project profitability reporting
  • Ensure financial and project metrics are being captured and reported to project managers on a weekly and monthly basis
