Responsibilities – Oversee a small team responsible for the following:

  • PR and media outreach – Work with Principals and key groups to identify target publications, key writers, editors and journalists; develop content ideas that align with editorial calendars; proactively pitch article topics to editors and communicate writing opportunities to architects, designers and planners; develop press kits for key groups and services to support proposal submissions and client presentations where appropriate and; write news releases.
  • Internal and external communication – Coordinate, oversee and edit the writing and distribution of internal announcements, a firm-wide internal blog / newsletter and any external client communications or newsletters.
  • Manage digital & online assets – Oversight, day-to-day management, editing and updating of all the firm’s digital and online assets, including the corporate website, micro-sites, blogs and all social media / networking sites, liaising with external developers and vendors as appropriate.
  • Web analytics – Lead the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of internet data for the purposes of understanding and optimizing web usage, and measuring and assessing the effectiveness of online M&BD campaigns.
  • Content development for marketing material, project profiles & case studies, and website – Coordinate, oversee and edit the development of content for different types of marketing material (e.g. brochures, portfolio presentations, thought leadership and research pieces), project profiles and case studies and the corporate website.
  • Content promotion – Leverage expertise in search engine optimization (SEO), content aggregators, promoting webinars and webcasts, targeting online properties of target publications and media outlets and leveraging knowledge of CRM, in order to drive web traffic to B+H sites, to drive profile and awareness of B+H content to target audiences and for the purposes of online lead generation.
  • Strategic targeting and coordination of conference attendance and sponsorships – Work with Principals and key groups to identify target conferences and speaking opportunities, negotiating sponsorship terms and coordinating presence and attendance to maximize the M&BD benefit to the firm.
  • Event planning & coordination – Plan and coordinate key local / regional events throughout the year (e.g. charity events, client events, annual office holiday party, etc).
  • Award submissions – Work with Principals and key groups to identify key industry awards, oversee the maintenance of an annual calendar of target awards, and oversee the preparation of award submissions.
  • Project Photography – Coordinate photography of completed projects, events and other photography-related requirements on an as needs basis.
  • Best practice, trends and new applications – Stay current in constantly evolving digital marketing best practice, trends and new technology and applications, leading implementation of agreed solutions.
  • Team management – Supervise and manage a Marketing & Communications Specialist and a Marketing & CRM Coordinator, both presently located in the same office.  However, team members could be in other office locations as Firm requirements expand and grow.

 

Core Competencies & Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of broad-based marketing communications experience within a professional services or Agency environment, with an emphasis in Public Relations, communications and events.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • With input from the Director and/or Principal, oversee the design process and deliverables for both DD and CD phases, establish project direction and work within project budgets and schedules.
  • Oversee management of teams and all deliverables in relation to the project and coordinating with external consultants and internal project teams. The manager is to ensure the team’s delivery of work packages are within a timely manner and to the standards and quality controls expectations of B+H Senior Management.
  • Co-ordinate with clients to analyze their goals, needs and resources and develop works following the client’s brief requirements.
  • Manage their projects and project teams; overseeing the delegation and assignments of work tasks appropriately as work role requires.
  • Be fully conversant with the requirements of the contract documentation, life safety issues, building codes and other technical aspects; they are required to be knowledgeable in all areas of design, drawing and details, finishes and building materials, specifications, codes, technical drawing, contract administration and business practices of B+H.
  • Administer the production of construction documentation consisting of plans, elevations, details and specifications, to illustrate non-structural and/or partition layouts; power and communications locations reflected ceiling and lighting plans; materials, products and finishes; and furniture selection, specifications and layouts and all coordination issues required of the Vietnam office.
  • Administer and assist with contract documents, bids and negotiations as the client’s consultant; coordinate and collaborate with other design professionals who may be retained to provide consulting services, including but not limited to architects, structural, mechanical and      electrical engineers and various specialty consultants
  • Assist with permit tender applications as required
  • Complete construction administration from tender through project close out
  • Work to a project fee and client budget
  • Foster and cultivate good client relationships
  • Mentor and train intermediate and junior colleagues.

 

Other responsibilities

  • Provide back-up assistance to other members of the Architecture group.
  • Assist senior management in the development of new business opportunities.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Architecture Degree with at least 10 years’ experience
  • Understand the design process and fully comprehend the client’s needs and goals
  • Excellent leadership skills to train and supervise intermediate and junior architects
  • Well-developed time management and project management skills required to undertake projects
  • Professional, client service oriented and positive representative of the firm
  • Exercise sound judgment; proactive and anticipate client needs; effectively identify problem areas and negotiate and mediate when      necessary to resolve issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good working knowledge of Provincial Building Code
  • Member of provincial professional organization an asset
  • Obtained or considering LEED CI certification, Greenmark or AP accreditation is an advantage

The 3D Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the design process and delivery of all working information pertaining to the projects he/she is assigned to by their line manager.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To work with the Lead Designer (Senior foreign architect or Design Manager) and communicate directly with this designer and the production team to produce the required Visualizations (in SketchUp, 3DSmax, etc..) as required by the project and requested by the Lead Designer.
  • To work in a team and accurately follow direction of Lead Designer or Director in a timely and organized manner, including coordinating with other junior 3D visualizers or Architectural Technicians to meet required deadlines.
  • To direct and manage a team of technicians and junior 3D designers to document design projects (Architecture, Master planning, Landscape Architecture and Interior Design) for client presentations, submissions and general promotional use, as needed by project requirements.
