This Opportunity

Working out of our Toronto Studio, the Intermediate Architectural Technologist will primarily be responsible for drafting, production and coordination with sub-consultants on Interior Design projects. This role will report to the Director, Interior Design or as designated by the Director.

Specific Position Responsibilities

  • Create contract documents for all stages of project delivery including client approval, coordination with consultants/engineers, tender submission, permit approval, construction, & as-built (post construction)
  • Develop details in accordance with design intent
  • Coordinate between architectural and consultant drawings
  • Prepare presentation drawings
  • Prepare contract documents
  • Liaise with sub consultants
  • Coordinate and work with production teams
  • Assist with and/or manage contract administration services

Position Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized Architectural Technologists Program, and membership in designated professional association

This Opportunity
Due to our commitment to advancing our BIM expertise in the last few years, our Toronto Studio is searching for a dynamic BIM Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will lead efforts relating to Building Information Modeling (BIM) / Revit® and the overall vision and initiatives that will streamline the use of BIM / Revit® on projects.

As an integral member, you will guide local project teams in assuring that BIM / Revit® guidelines and best practices are properly met. The primary responsibility of the BIM Manager is to implement our BIM vision and structure already available and facilitate consistency, increase quality, effectiveness and efficiency of our processes and deliverables of all projects.

This individual will work with our architecture teams in providing BIM / Revit® leadership on a wide range of projects, technical support, templates and training. They will work directly with staff and Project Managers on day-to-day activities, along with working closely with our Global Team of BIM Managers in leading BIM initiatives.


Specific Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepare BIM execution plans
  • Attend BIM projects kick-off meetings
  • Lead B+H BIM Committee meetings
  • Set up projects; support and mentor project team members
  • Review Toronto Revit® projects, police standards, ensure that modeling is done properly and model sizes are kept at a minimum
  •  Provide Revit® training and establish training material
