Innovative Spaces Create Unique Experiences

Vaughan Mills

Project Photos

As of 2004, Vaughan Mills was the first enclosed regional shopping centre to be opened in Canada in fourteen years. The cost for this development was approximately $355 million. Located on a 200-acre site, this shopping, leisure, and entertainment destination features sixteen anchor tenants, more than 200 specialty stores, many unique dining spaces, and a variety of entertainment options. One of the largest shopping and entertainment centres in the region, it has become a destination for millions of Canadian and American consumers—families and tourists alike. This innovative retail centre helped to redefine shopping experiences within the area.

Unique to all the shopping centres in the region, Vaughan Mills is a destination for the entire family and caters to all ages, interests, and tastes. Vaughan Mills offers consumers a place to find brand name designer deals, the opportunity to explore the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, and enjoy a satisfying meal all in one stop. Featuring unusually comfortable seating throughout the mall, quirky sculptural touches, and bold design elements, Vaughan Mills creates a sense of place rather than simply being somewhere to shop. The mall is divided into six unique “neighbourhoods” based on the “Discover Ontario” design theme, which celebrates the beauty, diversity, and icons of the Province of Ontario, including: Lakes, Rural, Small Town, Sport, City, and Fashion.
